The AHRC Heritage Priority Area team will join members of the Heritage Futures research programme in attending and organising a number of activities at the 19th ICOMOS General Assembly and Scientific Symposium in New Delhi this week. The Heritage Futures research programme will participate in the ‘Culture-Nature’ journey, screening a film, hosting a knowledge café, and organising a lunchtime networking knowledge exchange workshop.
The triennial ICOMOS General Assembly and the Scientific Symposium provides an opportunity for heritage professionals and enthusiasts to come together on a common platform to deliberate on various aspects of heritage conservation and management. The theme of Scientific Symposium is “Heritage & Democracy”. More than 1,500 international delegates are expected to attend the event, which aims to promote international co-operation and strengthen understanding and communication in the field of heritage.
